Bay Creek celebrates 10th Anniversary with Bay Creek In Bloom

May 28 & 29 event is surrounded by 1 million roses in bloom

CAPE CHARLES, Va. – (April 2011) – To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Bay Creek Resort & Club will expand its offerings during the Bay Creek In Bloom celebration. The weekend event will be held May 28 and 29, and the general public is invited to attend. All activities are free, unless otherwise noted.

Bay Creek Resort and Club comprises 1,729 acres along the Chesapeake Bay adjacent to the historic town of Cape Charles on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. The resort was the first in the world to have both Jack Nicholas and Arnold Palmer Signature® golf courses. In addition to the golf resort and world-class marina, Bay Creek has 10 distinct neighborhoods with a variety of home styles and prices. The 10th anniversary celebration is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the offerings throughout the weekend.

Bay Creek in Bloom Schedule of Events

Saturday, May 28

Bay Creek in Bloom Tour, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tour the Bay Creek gardens all day on a free trolley. Tours will leave from the resort Marina Village parking area. Guests will receive a list of Bay Creek plantings, and the tour will include the Bay Creek lighthouse.

Bay Creek in Bloom Art Show, 10 a.m. to 4p.m. Marina Village Lawn
Join 30 of the finest artists on the Eastern Shore as they display and sell their works of art.

In addition, several artists will be on the grounds around Bay Creek to capture its beauty in bloom ‘en plein air.’ These artists will exhibit their works during the Toast To the Roses reception.

Toast To The Roses, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Marina Gallery Mezzanine
Toast the roses with a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception. The evening will include a preview of the plein air paintings of Bay Creek in Bloom.

Sunday, May 29

Brunch at Aqua, 11a.m. to 2 p.m.
Reservations are suggested, and menu prices are available online.

Symphonicity Wind Quintet, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Enjoy an afternoon of musical entertainment on the marina deck. Boxed lunches from Aqua are available for $11.

Spring Fashion Show, 4 p.m.
Enjoy the latest fashions for spring and summer on the deck at Aqua with a cash bar. New fashions and trends will be featured from Tommy Bahama, Vineyard Vines, Tori Richards, Not your Daughter’s Jeans, Neon Buddha, and many more!
