Bay Creek features 2.5 miles of pristine private beach on the Chesapeake Bay, as well as several miles of creek and lakefront property. Dig your toes into the sand and enjoy a glass of wine, build a bonfire for an oyster roast, or simply grab your swimsuit and dive in to beautiful blue waters. Here, it’s easy to spend the day in a natural paradise—where walking paths curve among old magnolias, where lovely parks are perfect for picnics, where you can watch the sunset from a secluded stretch of Chesapeake Bay beach.
Bay Creek’s award-winning golf resort is the first in the United States to feature Signature® courses from two of the top names in golf—Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. Golf Digest has consistently named our 18-hole courses among the best in the state, while Golf World ranked Bay Creek 12th in its list of top golf resorts in America.
The Arnold Palmer Signature® Golf Course
With four holes on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, eight holes on Old Plantation Creek and several holes framed by sand dunes and large beach bunkers, the Palmer Course is a nature lover’s delight. The 7,204-yard championship course pampers its golfers with smooth A-4 greens and perfectly manicured Tifway 419 Bermuda fairways. Five strategically placed sets of tees are guaranteed to make golf fun and challenging for players of all skill levels. The course opened in 2001 and has earned yearly rankings on national award lists.
The Jack Nicklaus Signature® Golf Course
Breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay and Old Plantation Creek are paired with acres of natural dunes in Jack’s design for Bay Creek. Measuring 7,417 yards with Tifsport Bermuda fairways and smooth A-4 bent grass greens, the Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course is characterized by large waste bunkers and more than 100 formal bunkers. With acres of dunes, mature trees, small well-protected greens, and water on several holes, this course will challenge the best. The course opened in 2006 and is currently ranked 8th best course in Virginia by Golfweek magazine.

Have your own boat? The Bay Creek Marina features 124 floating, fully-cushioned single-loading wet slips, which can accommodate boats up to 150 feet with no overhead obstructions. You’ll also find superior amenities—from dining and shopping, to luxurious restroom and laundry facilities, and a fully stocked marine and tackle shop in the Harbormaster’s office. Deluxe overnight accommodations are also available.
A variety of charter cruises set sail from the Bay Creek Marina, too. Grab a fishing pole and reel in a big catch. Or enjoy a sunset cruise, nature tour or sightseeing adventure.
Want to stay on dry land? You’ll find an array of boutique shops filled with everything from clothing and home décor, to unique gifts and original Eastern Shore artwork.
Start at the bright pink Marina Shops, where you’ll find an incredible collection of fantastic items—including fun pet items, gourmet foods, kitchen accessories and much more. For the latest in golf apparel and equipment from top-ranked brands, try The Golf Shop. It’s also where to go when you need to reserve a tee time, have a club fitting or coordinate a group outing. And if fishing is more your style, The Complete Angler features a range of boating and fishing supplies, clothing and refreshments.
From a casual lunch to a romantic dinner overlooking the water, from hearty pub fare to a one-of-a-kind fine dining experience, Bay Creek serves food for every taste. Enjoy waterfront fine dining at Aqua, which showcases local produce and seafood in creative new ways. Visit The Coach House Tavern, where the rustic clubhouse atmosphere is perfect for a casual (and delicious) lunch or dinner. Or for a truly unique dining experience and excursion, climb aboard the Bay Creek Railway—a vintage restored 1920s dining car where you can enjoy an incredible meal on wheels.
Whether you're challenging yourself to a strenuous workout, watching the big game in the member lounge or relaxing in the sunshine by one of the outdoor pools, Bay Creek's new Beach Club and Fitness Center will offer amenities for all ages. Currently scheduled to open in 2012, this modern facility will be an exciting addition to Bay Creek.
The Beach Club and Fitness Center will be located in Bayside Village and will include a 3,000-square-foot member lounge and a Cardio area perfectly situated to take in spectacular views of the parks and the Chesapeake Bay. Time for a swim? Take a dip in our indoor lap pool, or try one of two outdoor pools. And when it's time to dry off, there will be a kid's game room and a snack bar.
Searching for a great workout? The fitness area will feature a circuit and strength-training area with high-end equipment from LifeFitness, Hammer Strength and Cybex. Cardio equipment will include treadmills and elliptical machines with attached LCD TVs. Locker rooms for both men and women are also part of the design.
