Bay Creek Communications

 

Cable Technician I

Full–time, entry level position, under limited supervision, performing basic and moderately advanced installations, disconnects and service changes for residential and business customers for cable television services and high speed internet services; may include voice services. Perform basic troubleshooting and repair for services from tap to consumer's electronic devices (TV, VCR, Modem, etc.).

Requirements:

• •Perform installations, troubleshoot and repair customer cable or high speed internet services, from the tap to the connection of the customer’s equipment for single, multi-family and/or commercial dwellings; including all necessary wiring (interior and exterior) and hardware.
• •Installing cable drops and plant, Splicing and Terminating coax cables.
• •Maintain records including daily logs, gas sheets, etc. as required.
• •Properly record all required information on work orders, surveys, referrals, etc.
• •Clean, maintain, stock, and secure assigned vehicle and equipment.
• •Promote cable, internet, and other company services; educate the customer on channel lineups, proper equipment usage, and other services that are available; represent company as needed to collect payments and secure appropriate customer signatures; relay customer feedback.
• •Perform utility locating, following Virginia Utility Protection Service rules and guidelines.
• •Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
• •Valid Drivers License.
• •High School diploma or equivalent.

Cable Installer

Part–time, entry level position, under limited supervision, assists in performing cable drops and plant installations.  Will be responsible for locating and marking underground cables and utilities.

Requirements:

• •Perform installations from the tap to the connection of the customer’s equipment for single, multi-family and/or commercial dwellings; including all necessary wiring and hardware.

Bay Creek Railway

 

Excursion Server

Bay Creek Railway is seeking part-time employees to maintain portion control and desired plate presentation of prepared food on evening dining train excursions. Restaurant Manager

Requirements:

Marketing

 

Web Developer — Full-time.

This position will require working in Virginia Beach. Candidates must have proven back end development skills. Experience working with databases, content management systems and dynamic, highly interactive web environments is essential.

Requirements:

• •2+ years ASP.NET
• •2+ years database design and programming
• •Experience with both SQL Server and MS SQL 2000
• •Familiarity w/ Actionscript
